The National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) is not a legal or social service agency and cannot provide legal, medical or social services referrals. NCTE’s attorneys and staff work to pass local, state, and federal laws and policies to improve the lives of transgender people, as well as work with the media to create culture change and increase acceptance.

Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community. Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support phone service run by trans people for our trans and questioning peers.
